LOS ANGELES, Calif. (January 9, 2012) A night with Latin Funk GRAMMY© award nominees direct from Venezuela, Los Amigos Invisibles join forces with compatriots La Vida Boheme for what promises to be a knockout, high-energy show at The Conga Room on Saturday February 11, 2012
Los Amigos Invisibles, the New York City-based sextet will be joined by La Vida Boheme, the fast-rising alternative/punk rock band, who kicked off their already impr essive career with a GRAMMY® nomination from their debut album “Nuestra” in the category of ‘Best Latin Pop, Rock, Or Urban Album’.

Los Amigos Invisibles are currently nominated for a GRAMMY® for ‘Best Latin Pop, Rock, Or Urban Album’ for their Nacional Records release “Not So Commercial”. Los Amigos Invisibles were originally discovered by David Byrne in a Manhattan record shop. The multi-dimensional disco funk stars signed with Luaka Bop moved to New York City from their native Venezuela and soon established themselves in the dance music scene with their ele vated grooves. Los Amigos have appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and played major festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. The band won their first career Latin GRAMMY© in 2009 with an acclaimed studio album, Commercial (Nacional Records).
Exploding from the thriving underbelly of the underground alternative music scene of Venezuela, La Vida Boheme is making their mark in the United States. The rock band’s debut album, “Nuestra”, is a pulsating release that offers eleven of the most amped up, dance inducing tracks to come out of South America. With influences, like The Ramones and LCD Soundsystem, combined with a love for punk and dance music, La Vida Boheme is addictive and fun, yet socially conscious, with its many references to the realities of life in the urban landscape of their native Caracas.
La Vida Boheme, formed by Rafael Perez, Daniel De Sousa, Sebastian Ayala, and Henry D'Arth enay in late 2006 and mid 2007. The band takes influence from late '80s punk, disco, funk, electronic music, jazz, salsa, reggae and dance music. La Vida Bohéme is Henry D’Arthenay (guitar and lead singer), Rafael Pérez (bass guitar and vocals), and Daniel de Sousa (guitar and vocals) Sebastián Ayala (drummer and vocals). The name comes from ‘ La Boheme’ an opera by Giacomo Puccini.
